Review - Barnsdale Hall, Rutland
We stayed most recently at Barnsdale Hall 28th August to 4th September 2021 in Stable Mews apartment 54. Prior to this we stayed 25th May to 1st June 2019 in Apartment 64. We have also stayed New Years Eve 2017 to Sunday 7th January 2018 in a 3 bed Cottesmore Lodge. We previously stayed in February 2011 (in a Stable Mews apartment), 2012 (in a Cottesmore Lodge) and 2013 (in a Stable Mews apartment).
All of the accomodation is spotless and well maintained. Swimming towels, bath and hand towels are provided as are tea towels, cleaning cloths and oven gloves. Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets are also provided so you don' really need to take much at all. There is a dishwasher and washer/dryer in each kitchen and a TV and DVD player in the lounge. There is a hairdryer provided in one of the bedrooms.
Each unit is well equipped with a mop and mop bucket, clothes horses for drying clothes and iron and ironing board. Heating is with electric storage heaters in the main living areas, convector heaters in the bedrooms and an electric heated towel rail in the bathroom.
It is great for families are there are so many things to do - our kids LOVE the huge swimming pool and playing crazy golf. There are also tennis courts, a bowling green, a childrens play area and a table tennis room.
