Review - Argoed Farm Caravan Park
We stayed here 26-31 August 2014.
26th August - Llanbedr, visited Harlech
27th August - Barmouth & Shell Island (crab fishing)
28th August - Betws y Coed
29th August - Porthmadog, Borth Y Gest & Criccieth
30th August - Barmouth & a very windy beach!
31st August - home
The approach to the caravan site is a little bumpy and on a narrow single road - we would not like to meet another vehicle coming the other way!
What can I say but wow! The views are absolutely spectacular and the pitch sizes are huge. While they do take other caravans the Caravan Club 5 certified location is at the front of the field (as in the photo shown above) with lovely views.
There was SO MUCH space for Anais and Roman to run around, they made so many friends and stayed out playing late every night and we felt it was safe for them to do this.
The field is very sloping so wheel chucks are definately needed. There are a number of breeze blocks on each pitch availabe to use to level the caravan up.
The owners are very friendly. There is free wifi on site although this was hit and miss while we were there - could it have been because the site was busy?
The only downside was the 6amp electric supply which tripped everything when we boiled the kettle. We had to rely on using the gas and saving the electric supply to run the electric heater only (it was very cold when we stayed).
We understand the toilet block was newly renovated this year and was clean, modern and the best of any facilities we have ever used on any site.
We would definitely return here, I would just be nervous coming and going up that single lane with the caravan on the back!
