Mark had today off work so we could visit Cadbury World.
It was OK. Kids weren't really interested in history of the cocoa bean, history of Cadbury's or Bournville. Little sensitive Roman was scared stiff at some of the things and clung to Mark! Kids raced through the exhibitions and liked the hands on experiences but in truth enjoyed playing on the huge park outside more. They also enjoyed seeing inside of the factory and how chocolate was made. AND THE SMELL!!!!!!! No wonder people who lived in Bournville were all healthier and happier than people who lived in the cities - they were all intoxicated with the smell of melted chocolate!
I will upload all our photo's to Facebook soon. When we were leaving Anais said she enjoyed herself but it wasn't what she expected, she thought it would be more like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with green fields and Oompa Lumpa's!
History of it all was very interesting. I love Bournville, especially at Christmas with the huge Christmas Tree and lights, always gives me a lump in my throat whenever we drive past, haven't seen a prettier Christmas Tree anywhere.
This afternoon we went for a drive to Leamington Spa so I could go and collect two Cath Kidston bags from store using my birthday money from mom and dad - THANK YOU!!!!!! I love them, love you both too! xx
On the way home we had a quick stop off at Warwick and when we got back the kids have been riding their bikes and playing outside.
Just watched film "What Women Want"
