We got up, made a picnic and went to Street to look round the shops as some of it is indoors. From there we had a picnic in Wells and managed a break in the rain to walk round the town and to Bishops Palace in Wells.
We then went to Cheddar and had a walk around there too as it had stopped raining. When we got back I looked on blog to see the last time we went to Cheddar and by chance it was 12 months ago to the very day. Spookily the weather this time last year was exactly the same as today and the photo's Mark took today were the same as he took last year.
On the way home we stopped off at Apex Park in Burnham on Sea. We have never been there before, one of the workers on site told us about it two days ago. It is a huge pool with ducks, swans, geese etc.......... It would have been nice to walk around it but it was raining so we speedily fed the ducks and left.
We had a nice day until we got back - jacket potatoes for tea, cottage cheese for us, cheese and spaghetti for Anais and Roman. The spaghetti fell out of the microwave, landed on Mark, bounced off = spaghetti EVERYWHERE. Ceiling, walls, curtains, floor, covers.......... Luckily we had fabric cleaner with us and the washing machine so we have done several loads of washing which is drying in the awning and wiped over the covers, curtains etc........... luckily nothing seems to have stained. After tea I thought my mouth felt funny and it seems the crown I had re-cemented in in January has come loose again and is wobbly - phone call to dentist in the morning and hopefully I can get an appointment for when we get home to be cemented in again.
No feeding the donkeys tonight as it is still raining. Anais and Roman have both made their loom band watches. Roman finished his canvas art work. I finished my silver/grey scarf. Anais made a loom band chain using all the loom bands she had - it was approx 17 feet long - the length of the caravan! She now has to undo it so she can make something else with them.
