This afternoon when I got my mojo back I started to get some things for holiday together. I had this crochet bag kit for Mother's Day and I had saved it to do on holiday.
I started by using the 12mm hook and making a chain of 28 as per the instructions. This was followed by rows of double crochet into the back loops only to create the rib effect. I continued until it measured approx 30cm across and 10 wide ridges as per the instructions - hurrah - I had done it right!
The instructions advised to double crochet the sides of the bag together but I wasn't happy with this, I didn't think it looked right. I undid it and slip stitched the sides of the bag together instead.
Anais bought some today - they are weavable elastic bands and can make a bracelet using fingers, a hook and "S" clip.
