I took the opportunity to go shopping by home instead and had my first bargain of the year! Wilkinsons had one Christmas tree left - ex display, sparkly silver and it said 50p - I couldn't leave it there for that much! It is quite big though and I knew I would never be able to carry it by myself so I phoned Mark and asked him to collect it for me when he had finished his work. They halved it and put it in two black bin bags - he had his arms full!
I went to group today but its not back until next week. I am not sure what courses to do this year as they are offering more choice, different locations and on different days. I can make my mind up next Wednesday. Another charity shop wool bargain - two and a half balls of pink John Lewis crochet cotton and seven balls of pink furry wool for £2! Today I did more work on my tapestry, though I had to undo quite a bit as I didn't realise until too late I had stitched the pink the wrong direction from the other colours and had to unpick it, arrrrgh! I have to restitch more pink but will do that tomorrow now. Anais was back to swimming lessons this evening, Mark took her and me and Roman stayed in the warm with Fred on keeping us toasty warm. Roman was particularly taken with the name of his school book! He loves seeing his name! The TIVO box and upgraded broadband are being installed tomorrow so I have to wait in for them. 62% of the way through the "The Windermere Witness" so far. It is OK though I thought the locations would play more of a staring role. I am not particularly taken with it, though I will finish it to see "whodunnit" and then I can move onto something better (fingers crossed). Off to bed to do more reading. xx
