I did a little housework and then got to work on my crochet blanket...................... it is now finished!
I love doing "big projects". I started this on holiday on the Saturday night. Firstly, on the way down we stopped off at Burnham on Sea so I could go and buy another 4 balls of colours to go with some of the colours I already had. I started this while we watched "Battleship" on the TV in the cottage on the Saturday night we got there. It has come everywhere with me since! A row here and then and it soon adds up and grows. It has been to -
Looe beach
worked on in the car on journeys in Cornwall
worked on at Lansallos beach
been to three National Trust properties
worked on at a park in Bodmin
been to two swimming lessons
been to the Lickey Hills
STATISTICS -
It has taken 18 days to complete
taken 12 balls of wool (x4 each of cream, biscuit & brown)
there are 70 colour stripes or 140 rows of colour
the border is 5 rows deep - brown, biscuit, cream, biscuit & brown
It weighs 1046grams (or almost 11 balls of wool)
starting chain was 239 chains
4mm hook
I love it and am calling it "The Biscuit Blanket"! It reminds me of chocolate biscuits, Oreo's, custard creams, chocolate digestive's and bourbons!
Sneak Peek until tomorrow when I can take better photo's in the daylight.
This evening was swimming lessons. A sign of autumn, the leaves are falling off the tree's. Photo's courtesy of Roman.
