We had a lovely day today. First thing this morning I did some more clothes washing while Anais and Roman did more to their scraper foil art.
We made a picnic and took a drive to Coughton Court to eat our picnic in the gardens and feed the ducks on the pond. Unfortunately it was closed, I hadn't thought to check the book to see days it was open, I just presumed it would be open. The gates were closed which meant I had pulled into the driveway with no-where to go - only option to reverse out onto the main road = nightmare. I had a stressful few minutes wondering how I was going to get out of there until a kindly lorry driver stopped to let me out - THANK YOU!
We had our picnic outside the caravan and then Roman played with his Knex and built a rocket rotating fairground ride - very clever!
This afternoon Phil and Elaine came back and brought another huge bag of wool for me and a sweater/knitting machine which when I checked the box was also full of patterns - very kind of them - THANK YOU!
Today I did a small cross stitch of a teddy bear holding a heart. Tonight I have started to crochet a table centre with some nice white yarn from Elaine. It is very thin so I am using a 2mm crochet hook = very fiddly.
The horse in the next field came right over to the gate today, normally he doesn't come so close so Anais and Roman took the opportunity to go and say hello and stroke his nose.
Anais and Roman are complaining the backs of their necks are sore, when we checked they have caught the sun today, we didn't think it had been that fierce.
Tea today - spaghetti, meatballs and salad
