I thought Little Miss might like her own crochet roll for Christmas (I made the stitch markers for it last Wednesday) and it will benefit me too as she will stop pinching my hooks and it will teach me how to use the sewing machine! I asked Nicolette for HELP with using the sewing machine and making it.
Yesterday she came round and gave me these instructions - practise straight lines, corners and reverse stitch and try and do a grid, when going round a corner leave the needle in the fabric. Practise, practise, practise. Ok then!
(For my future reference this is set as stitch 5 and tension 3)
Anyway, watch this space for the crochet roll soon.........
6 hexagons done today
24 hexagons done in total
12 hexagons left to do
Roman made a Christmas card......
"I lov Choistnas"
"Me to"
When Anais and Jordan used to go to football practise he would run down the hill flapping his arms holding bird feathers he had found and wondering why he wouldn't take off! While other kids were watching Disney films Roman would watch "Apollo 13" and blast his toy rockets off into "space". He knows the rocket taking off scene word for word! To this day ask him what he would like for Christmas/Birthdays and he says a lunar module!
When we found out a new film had been released "Gravity" we just had to take him to see it! We have been waiting for weeks to see this!
Great movie, proper edge of the seat stuff for an hour and half, there is no let up, the action kept on coming. The CGI was fantastic.
And what did Roman the space mad little boy think of it?
He HATED it and sat on Mark's lap with his coat over his head for most of it. He said it was scary and practically RAN out of the cinema when it had finished, he honestly could not leave fast enough. He said he doesn't want to go to space anymore, he doesn't want to see it again and he doesn't want to buy it on DVD. He has been in a bad mood since we have been home!
We would recommend seeing it though, Anais especially loved it. Mark said it was made to be seen in 3D for best effect.
