Today was week 2 of the course "Working with children - An introduction". It might be cancelled next week though unless more people turn up :-(
This afternoon I had to wait in for the dishwasher repair man to turn up so thought I'd spend it in the garden painting. I re-did the decking strips that edge the patio, the kids summer house, the steps and the log store, all had two coats. Almost out of paint now so when we get more I will do the fences next time too.
We don't have much greenery in our garden as neither of us like gardening but I also pruned the few shrubs we have and swept and weeded the patio.

We had this bush off mom and dad and mom said it never flowered for her. Last year we had ONE flower, this year we have lots of buds almost ready to pop open.

The dishwasher repair man turned up and said the wires had burned out (bad connection) so he replaced the wire. He thought he had fixed it, turned it on and it blew the house electrics :-( He said it needed a new board and luckily he had one on his van. Hurrah! I now have a perfectly functioning dishwasher again!
This evening Anais went to school for the other music recital by the sixth former's. She enjoyed it so much yesterday she asked her music teacher if she could attend today's recital too which was the drummer's performing.
Roman had his swimming lesson while Anais was out.
Bacon sandwich for tea again tonight (same as Thursday last week) as everyone enjoyed it for a change and it was quick to do as we were all back late.
Two medium and two small apple and rhubarb crumbles made for the freezer tonight.
