It was so sunny this morning and now next door's tree's have been cut down the sun was shining straight into the conservatory, even though it is still low down in the sky - it felt like a warm spring day. We haven't been anywhere today. Anais did her one piece of homework and Roman has been playing with bits and pieces of his Christmas presents. I pulled my tapestry out and sorted the wool colour's out which took a while.... This is how far I have got with it today (top left corner)........ I have added a new category tab on the right hand side of the page "tapestry" to keep up with progress. I have always been intimidated by this as I have never done a tapestry before - I will do it in 2014 though! Anais found a ball of pink mohair wool in her bedroom so I "borrowed" it and made a flower on the loom........ .........and attached a hair clip to the back of it....... Mark and Roman built Roman's stunt buggy so Roman has been playing with that this evening (until the battery ran out!) Me and Anais had a few games of Cluedo though Anais always wins! I had half a ball of cream cotton left from when I made the crochet table runners so I made another beaded doily...... ..............a close up. After making the doily there was still quite a lot cotton left so I went to Pinterest for some inspiration and found this pattern to make pretty crochet coaster's. I managed to make six with the rest of the cotton. I tied them up pretty and can give them away as a little gift. Tonight we watched the film "50/50" on Netflix. We picked it as it had Joseph Gordon Levitt (good in "Inception") and Seth Rogen (good in comedy films) - we didn't know much about the story. It was about a 27 year old man with cancer but it wasn't at all morbid though it did make me teary in places it had just the right amount of humour in it - another really good heartwarming film.
