I was hoping to do a blanket 9 squares X 9 squares but soon realised I wouldn't have enough left of the grey wool. Then I thought I would have enough to do it 8 squares X 9 squares but after starting to crochet it together today and realising how much wool it is using I am glad that I stopped at 8 x 8 squares = 64 squares.
So far I have crocheted together 24 squares and crocheting granny squares together is not one of my favourite things to do. It is not very neat, you would think it would be easy to line the stitches up and crochet them together but the squares slightly differ in size due to tension so some of smaller and tighter and others and larger and looser. I am glad they are being crocheted together in the grey as it is the same colour as the rest of the square it hides any mistakes!
I have quite a lot of the cream aran yarn left over an also a lot that Elaine gave me so I was thinking I could give it a cream border of double crochet once it has all been crocheted together.
Anyway here is what I have done so far and what I still have left to do.
The eco fan for it is supposed to come tomorrow and I am looking forward to getting that to see if it does make a difference to the heat distribution around the room.
