When we woke up this morning it was glorious and warm :-) We had breakfast, made a picnic and was out the caravan by 9.15 to do the 45 minute drive to Bishop's Lydeard to catch the 10.25 train - the first train of the day.
We got off the train at Watchet and went for a walk around the harbour, had a look at the little bric a brac/craft sale that was taking place in the harbour and went to have a look in the little museum. A man started talking to us about the fossil's in the display and said he was a geologist and told Anais and Roman some interesting facts about dinosaur fossils. We stayed longer than we were supposed to and had to run back to get the next train to Minehead!
At Minehead we sat on the beach and ate our picnic, Roman stripped off to his pants and went swimming in the sea, Anais is now too old to strip off so she rolled her leggings up and went as far as she could without getting too wet. We had to dry them both off with the picnic rug after! We went for a walk to Morrison's to buy more drink as we had drunk all of ours and brought some ice-creams, went for a little walk around the town and then went for a walk to the harbour. We caught the 4.05 train back but it ran late by half an hour and we finally got back to Bishop's Lydeard just before 6.00pm.
We stopped off at an Asda on the way home as it had got to late to cook tea and brought a big pot of tomato and cheese pasta, pork pies, salad, sun dried tomato focaccia and donut's for pudding and ate it all in the sun when we got back just after 7.00pm, it was yum :-)
After tea we went for a (late) walk around the site, went to feed the donkey's and have done another light and dark load of washing :-)
It is now 10.20pm, kids have been asleep for an hour and we are now going to get our chance to relax too! xx
