We tried to feed the duck's here today but got chased off by a very aggresive swan.
While the kids went swimming this afternoon Mark was surfing on his tablet, I took a ball of wool and different sized crochet hooks and just sat crocheting until it looked right. It is basically a crochet rectangle with the side's sewed together. I did it in single crochet to make it dense and make sure the tooth wouldn't fall out in between the stitch's. I brought the buttons from a charity shop in Windermere today for just 2p each as I knew I would make this my project for this afternoon/evening.
By coincidence before tea tonight Roman started crying and getting distressed, he said his tooth was wobbling "so much" and he didn't like it! Mark had a look and it just fell out - he lost his first tooth! He was pleased with the little pouch, put his tooth in there and went to bed hoping the tooth fairy is going to leave him 5p tonight - he made us all laugh!
This evening, I made Lexi a baby pink pouch too, hope she likes it!
When we were on our way back from Ambleside this morning and we stopped off at Hayes I picked this cupcake corer up for £3. It takes the centre out of cupcakes so you can fill them with surprises - fruit, sweet's, jam, chocolate spread, buttercream icing.......... I was intrigued but thought I could also use it to place "surprise's" inside larger birthday cake's too.
Anais started to make the last felt heart..................
