Roman has been asking for a desk in his bedroom since we decorated his bedroom last month. The only place there would have been room for one was if we lost a small bookcase. Mark had a good idea though! Mark took a spare shelf out of Roman's wardrobe and used it as a pull out shelf in what used to be the nappy storage of the changing unit to make a pull out computer desk. Mark gave Roman an old laptop computer to keep on it for homework, games etc. We stopped off at Argos this afternoon for a fold up chair to complete it and the desk is complete - total cost £9 and an hour for Mark to make!
Triop Wacth! - Day 7
At the moment our triops are quite bigger than they were before. They swim around really close to the tub, and when they do you can see 2 little tiny eyes. Their little feet move, like a little tiny bit. It's like something wriggling like a snake, but it does look really weird. We have to feed them every 2 days, but were not feeding them today, because it's still got lots of food left in the tank. My dad cleaned it out by getting some of the wood in the tank gone. It looked like mud with bits of wood in when he put it in the pot to take out. Horrible that's what it was! When I counted there was about 7 or 8 which is a lot since when we tipped in half of the packet. Some of them even go to the surface of the water, I've only saw that once though, it was very weird. It was probably getting the food from the top of the tank, even though that it was supposed to sink. Well some of it sank, but not that much. I can't wait to see them all grown up, this is because they will start laying eggs, and then we can put the sand in. That is all I can say about the triops today, but I'm looking forward later on, to see what they will look like. BYE!
