Firstly, Mark had to pack the car this morning in the rain.
Secondly when we got to the caravan storage yard to get the caravan out we noticed someone had stolen the electric adapter cable that connects the caravan to the car for lights etc....... We had taken the wheel clamps and hitch lock off (again in the rain and got soaked) and was about to hook the caravan to the car when we noticed it had GONE :-( It converts a 13 pin single socket on new caravans to two single s and n sockets on old car tow bars. It came free with the caravan when we bought her in 2011 and has always been left on. As all the caravan locks had been taken off I had to stay with the caravan while Mark went to the caravan shop to buy a new one (otherwise we wouldn't have been able to tow the caravan as no lights). He bought a new one for £26.99 - thank you you dishonest &&%$£%**&% (insert expletive of choice) I hope it gives you an electric shock.
Thirdly it hasn't stopped raining all day making it a miserable journey. Anais and Roman were happy playing on their tablets and listening to their music thankfully with headphones on - "What does the fox say?" - most annoying song ever.
A horrible journey which took just over four hours with a stop at the services -
* people hogging the middle lane
* slow moving traffic
* people dodging in and out of lanes
* people not letting other people (us with caravan) move lanes
* people moving lanes last minute and holding the flow of traffic up
* people with NO CARAVAN using CARAVAN ONLY parking spaces at the services
It rained when we got here and set up - we are on hard standing but the grass area for the awning outside is sodden.
We went food shopping to Asda and while I cooked tea Mark and Roman (he wanted to help) put the awning up in the rain.
I will be back tomorrow hopefully in a better mood and with photo's. xxxx
