I have made another four crochet frames, three in taupe and one in cream. I still have three left to do (and sew ends in). This is the pattern I used, they are so pretty.
Today we went to the cinema to see "Reef 2". Kids enjoyed it though have to admit I did not - I have a fish phobia and even seeing cartoon fish makes my skin crawl. We had to pop out this afternoon so I took the chance to nip into the charity shop and came out with these seven bangles for £1. Any idea what I did with them? Remember last month I made a crochet photo frame? I have made another four crochet frames, three in taupe and one in cream. I still have three left to do (and sew ends in). This is the pattern I used, they are so pretty. A close up. I like this colour the best. It will match the colours in our bedroom and conservatory. This afternoon while it was not raining Mark and Roman went in the back garden to sort more wood out to keep under the side of the house. While they were doing that Anais made a birthday card with a card making kit she had for Christmas. This evening Anais has started her latch hook she had for Christmas. It is 90 rows across and so far she has done two rows - 180 latches done today. She didn't like the bigger hook that came with it though so she went to find the smaller hook that comes with the Hobbycraft kits. While Anais was doing the latch hook Roman "made" a pizza for their tea. They like the basic pizzas and then they can add their own topping - so extra tomato sauce, extra cheese, sweetcorn and yellow pepper. This is the model Mark has been working on. "Simply Crochet" came in the post today. It came with a free gift to make two hanging hearts. I made the big heart tonight though I am not very pleased with it. I didn't use the plastic hook that came with it but used a 4mm hook as per the instructions. I ran out of the coral wool on the second side so the second side actually has three colours - cream, peach and white. Secondly I think I overstuffed it. Never mind I can see if the smaller heart is any better tomorrow but I might try using a smaller hook, maybe a 3mm hook for that one. This evening we watched the film "Olympus has fallen" on Netflix. It was actually rather good and made crocheting hard to keep up with as I kept stopping to see the action!
