We were up and out early to take Anais to her clarinet audition. She didn't have to be there until 10.30am but we got there early in plenty of time so she could relax and have a practice.
From there we went to Birmingham Rag Market. I got -
one and a half metres of wadding - £4.50
6 metres of cream bias binding £1.50
2 metres of floral fabric £4
1 metre of pink bias binding £1
We drove to Cannon Hill Park and had a picnic in the park and Anais and Roman had a play too. We forgot to take photo's though, ooops.
From Cannon Hill Park we drove to W H Smiths. Thanks Jordan for the tip off, we got Roman a Lego toy from the Daily Mail newspaper. He built it when we got home and has been playing with the Lego he had for his birthday.
We also picked up a Bluetooth speaker each for Anais and Roman for a bargain £3 each!
Now I have wadding I can get the patchwork quilt finished. I only got so far though as its completely kn*****ing! It gave my arms a workout pushing it and pulling it through the machine. I have quilted lines down one side of it. Tomorrow I have to stitch the lines in the other direction and add the bias binding. I am hoping to have it finished by Tuesday.
Here it is with the backing, wadding and quilt held together with bulldog clips before I got sewing.
Oh, and I also finished my crochet blanket - just a few ends to sew in but for now - BED! xx
