Yesterday afternoon I did the first row of double crochet border and sat in bed last night to do the second row....................I unpicked all of the border and started again...........................
I did three double crochet in each corner and increased by three double crochet in each corner for the second row but this made the corners round. I was after a more square look. I unpicked it and this time in each corner did two double crochet, chain one, followed by another two double crochet - this made it more square and I was happy with that.
I only crocheted two rows of double crochet for the border. I did start to do three rows but Mark said it looked nice left at two rows. I asked Anais and Roman and said I would go with the majority. It was 3-0 to leave the border at two rows deep.
Here is a sneak peek as there is not enough room in the caravan to lay it flat and I didn't want to lay it on the grass in case it got dirty.................

Also today Anais and Roman made friends with the three girls in the caravan that came yesterday. They have all been knitting, crocheting and loom banding.
Roman found a very ugly creepy crawly "thing" in his toy castle today.
