Pretty flowers blooming on the shrub.....
Another lovely sunny day today, the washing dried lovely on the washing line. Pretty flowers blooming on the shrub..... Finally getting to grips with my die cutter, think I was too adventurous to begin with, three cards and four gift tags made today. I finished my book Solomon Northup "Twelve Years a Slave". It is heavy reading and very moving. While I wouldn't say it was an "enjoyable read" it was a very painful read and made me feel very humbled - "I don't want to survive, I want to live" Not sure I could sit through the film. Anais came home very happy, firstly it was netball practise after school today, secondly there is a possible day trip to France later in the year and thirdly her school is closed on Wednesday due to industrial action. Mark did more wallpaper stripping on the other half of Anais' bedroom when he finished work. Had we known we were going to start Anais bedroom so soon he could have booked today off. Unfortunately, he had already arranged for his last day to be booked off next week, grrrrrrrr. I found some loom flowers I had forgotton about so I sewed them onto baskets in the conservatory. Roman has become attached to this Lego construction man who he has named Emmett after the construction worker in the Lego Movie.
