Christmas has officially started in our house - we put the tree up today so MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ! - welcome to Christmas in our house!

Firstly, when we put the tree up its tradition to drink sherry and eat mince pie's!
We have a beautiful festive fireplace and tree in the lounge, Anais said it looked like a picture in a magazine........

Less is definately NOT more in this house! Although we don't "do" shiny hanging decorations we do have a lot of other things elsewhere..........
.......we still need to buy batteries and find home for these Christmas toys.........
.....and we still haven't unpacked the Christmas crockery yet.
This is my sentimental tree with special things on it to remember at Christmas - it started off as a little 3 foot tree but over the years we have needed a bigger one! It has on it........
Roman had a Santa dress up outfit aged 18-24 months which he still dug out every year and wanted to wear despite the sleeves coming up to his elbows and the trousers coming up to his knee's.

Last year Jenny kindly made him this outfit which he decided to wear again today when we put the tree up - he kept saying he was Santa "ho ho ho!"
He has gone to bed wearing this tonight and said he wants to wear it all day tomorrow too!

While we were putting the tree up in the conservatory and Mark was in the loft looking for the festive garlands we heard "THUD" on the conservatory roof - we thought a cat or squirrel had landed on the roof but when we went to look there was a black bag tied in pretty ribbon from the elves! When the kids opened it they found a letter each from Santa, some Christmas books and Nativity 2 DVD.
This is our favourite Christmas book, a pop up book too!

Good job I save jam jars - the kids used the glitter transfers from the elves and decorated a jam jar each which we can put a tea light in.
While we ate tea we watched "Nativity 2".
Kids were excited to see there will be a "Nativity 3 - Dude - where's my donkey?" to be released Christmas 2014.
