We were woken up at 6.30am so he could open his presents (we didn't realise it was this early as it was light outside and the "Happy Birthday" banner was covering the clock on the microwave).
Lots and lots of rain this morning and grey skies. Firstly I finished icing Roman's birthday cake and we put it in the wardrobe in Jenny's caravan to keep cool. We went out approx 11am when it had stopped raining. We took a drive to Stratford Upon Avon and was surprised to see there was a motoring festival on. We spent almost three hours wandering through the town looking at the cars, in the shops and we had a picnic by the river and did the little stalls by the river too.
This afternoon we got back to the caravan just after 3pm where mom and dad came to give Roman his presents. We had a go at Roman's rocket launcher he had for Christmas and using bicarb of soda and vinegar. Tea was in The Jubilee where we ate outside and Anais and Roman played on the park. We left just as it started to get colder.
We came back to the caravan where we all had a slice of cake and Roman took his cake to Milly's caravan, Phil & Elaine's caravan and Christine & Dave's caravan to share with them. Anais and Roman played outside with Milly until 8pm when it started raining again.
This evening Anais has been playing "Brain Training" on her DS while Mark and Roman built Roman's Lego Avengers set. As usual Roman took the wheels off "because planes look weird when they have wheels on and no planes have their wheels down when they fly". I am on stripe 28/84 on the next crochet ripple blanket.
We have been lucky with the weather all day but it is raining again tonight.
Anais made Roman this banner...................
