After stopping at the services for Roman to use the toilet and then Asda for a pack of waffles and fresh strawberries for breakfast, we finally made it to the park for 11am after getting stuck in all the Windsor traffic.
We have only sat down twice all day - once when taking it in turns to use the toilet and once to sort the bag out as we thought we had lost something. We even ate our picnic lunch standing up in the queue waiting to go on rides, we have done so much!
Our day went something like this -
we got to the park for just after 11am
went around the Star Wars Experience
went on the Hill train
Spinning Spider Ride
Pirate Falls (log flume)
Loki's Labyrinth (maze)
The Viking River Splash (water rapids)
Longboat Invader (mini pirate ship)
Laser Riders Ride
Mini Digger Challenge
Desert Chase (Carousel)
Thunder Blazer (Chair o planes)
Aero Nomad (Mini Big Wheel)
Mini Lego City
It was raining when we got there so we started with the Star Wars Experience which was undercover. When we came out it had stopped raining and didn't rain for the rest of the day, we were very lucky!
Anais didn't want to go on the log flume ride, her comments were along the lines of "Do I have to? I might die!"
Mark didn't go on the Thunder Blazer (Chair O Planes) as his bum was too big to go in the seats so they asked him to leave!
The Laser Riders Ride was a train where you had a laser gun and had to go around shooting the targets. Scores as follows -
Mark - 23, 000 points
Me - 12, 500 points
Anais - 10, 000 points
Roman - 0 points
Of course Roman thought he was "the winner"!
We under estimated the size of the Lego Mini City, it was HUGE, much larger than we expected. The detail in the models though - wow!
Buckingham Palace - can you see the Queen!
We got back to the car at 5.30 after the park closed at 5.00. We left Legoland at 7.30 - yes, it took TWO HOURS to get out of there. The traffic wasn't even stop, start, stop, start, it just didn't move at all. The kids fell asleep in the back of the car so we gave up on the idea of going to the carvery as it got too late. We found a Morrison's instead and went in and brought this for tea, to eat in the hotel room instead. Tomato and cheese pasta, scotch pies and salad with a glass of wine. We also brought a cake for pudding but everyone was too stuffed so saving that for tomorrow instead. We eventually checked in at the hotel at quarter to nine tonight so we had a VERY LATE tea tonight.
I will upload photo's when we get home as looking at the camera we took 214 photo's today. I will also put personal photo's of the kids on Facebook. In the meantime here are a few more before I go and jump in the shower and then catch up on some zzzzz's!
