I finished my book this afternoon, Asa Larsson "The Savage Altar" - very good. I sent it back - dad - if you want to borrow & download from the library too.
We did three projects today when Anais and Roman came home from school.
ANAIS' PROJECT
Firstly, Anais has been asking when we can make more bread so she made a loaf. I asked did she want to make white, wholemeal or 50;50? She said 50:50 and used half Aldi strong white bread flour and half the wholemeal flour we bought at Dunster Water Mill. She measured all of the ingredients out and made it all by herself. It is for breakfast and lunch tomorrow.
Roman saw Anais making bread and said he could make a cake. I had one Betty Crocker Lemon Drizzle Cake box left in the cupboard so let him make this. It was yummy, even Anais had two slices and she normally isn't keen on lemon cake.
I bought these a while ago from The Works, they were only 99p buy one get one free but I thought they would be fun for the kids to do. It is a silicone mould and comes with bird seed, all you need to do to make a fat cake for the birds is add fat - I popped out earlier to go and buy a block of lard so they could make them.
