When we got back to the caravan yesterday afternoon it was cold and raining so we had a craft/film afternoon. Anais and Roman made a bunny and chick beaded key ring each and then we all watched "Hop". I crocheted six crochet frames to go in the conservatory and one dusky pink doily while Mark played with and read the instructions to his new camera. When the kids had gone to bed we watched "Quantum of Solace" We had a busy day today trying to get lots done on Mark's last day off. Firstly we went to Packwood House a National Trust house. We walked around the house and grounds. There was a weaving exhibition on upstairs where ladies were doing real weaving/tapestry, Anais and Roman had a go and enjoyed themselves. The ladies gave us lots of ideas to try at home if Mark can build us a frame *hint hint* we could make bookmarks, coasters or place mats. On the way back to the caravan we stopped off at Beckett's Farm to look in their Easter Barn. We always love Beckett's Farm at Easter, baby lambs - we watched them being fed, baby calves, goats and kids, miniature donkeys, alpacas, a variety of birds, chicks hatching out of eggs............... They held a chick each and had their photo's taken. This year there was also a "mock cow" so they had a go at pulling the udders to try and milk it, Roman struggled but Anais managed to get quite a bit of milk out! We also went into the huge tent so they could decorate an egg and plant cress seeds in it - we shall enjoy watching them grow over the next week and then eating them on an egg and cress sandwich. This afternoon we popped to the shops to pick Roman up some tracksuit bottoms to wear at the caravan but they only had one pair in his size. I figured they would be easier to wash and dry than the heavy jeans he normally wears. We also got Anais two pairs of trainers - one for school and one for home - she wore her school ones out as she does so many after school sports clubs. When we got back to the caravan this afternoon Anais and Roman played in the sun before it started to go cold and then came in to make an Easter puppet each. Anais' is the chick and Romans is the bunny.
