We stopped off at Burnham on Sea approx 11.30. We went to Morrisons which is on the sea front and bought a pack of pork pies and pot of pasta each which we ate on the beach. We also stopped off at the wool shop where I bought another 4 balls of cream and biscuit coloured wool to go with some wool I bought from there previously, so I can start another long term project.
We got to the cottage approx 5.00. It is a lovely little cottage and we were greeted by the owner, Margeret. We loved the little touches and attention to detail - a TV paper left us for us, a bottle of wine, all cleaning things, the electric meter topped up and with change on the side should we need it in an emergency, blankets, log burning stove, children's and adults reading books, a selection of board games and jigsaws, children's colouring things, slow cooker in the kitchen, it is better equipped than the kitchen at home!
Pictures of the cottage -
we have a back and side garden with children's slide and washing line
to the front is a field of cows and chicken coup
there is flagstone flooring in the dining room
there are beams in the living room and dining room
Anais and Roman were eager to unpack their clothes in their bedroom. Anais did some puzzles in a book and Roman completed a jigsaw.
