Today was the second day of Anais' "Theory of Music" Course. It was a half day today though and we were back in time for lunch. Roman did two lots of homework. Text from Anais - 7.05AM (our time) - Good morning. They went on a snow walk last night and had a snowball fight. It was great. Phone call from Anais 4.50PM (our time) - * they are going to another disco tonight * they had pizza for tea last night * she is going for tea tonight at 6.30PM but doesn't know what she is having yet * she had a cheese sandwich for lunch * she hasn't opened her Marmite, she has been having toast and cereal for breakfast * she has bought a pretzel snack mix to eat on the coach going home tomorrow * last night they went on a snow walk and got back late. They had a snowball fight. * Today was their last full day skiing. They went to another mountain in France. *It was a lot warmer today * the coach leaves at 6.30PM (their time) tomorrow evening (Friday evening) (so check the webcams from approx 5.30pm our time to see if you can see them leaving!) * They are going skiing again tomorrow before they leave * she has taken lots of photos of the mountains covered in snow * yesterday they skied down a mountain in France, through the town and caught the bus back Text from Anais 9.55PM (our time) - she had fun at the disco, was going to bed, goodnight xx The final two squares were finished today. Roman brought a letter home and he will be going on a two night/three day residential trip with school in March. he is looking forward to it. Anais phoned 3.40pm (our time) - * she was in pain! * she was tired and covered in bruises * she had been skiing for 5 hours * she had snow burn * she had cereal and toast for breakfast * she had a cheese sandwich for lunch * they were going to a spa tomorrow (she was excited about this) * she couldn't use the hair drier or hair straighteners as she couldn't get the plugs in the room to work * her phone was about to go flat as it hasn't been charged since Friday (she was going to ask a teacher about the plugs in the room so she could charge her phone) * she said it was REALLY warm, so warm she had left her ski jacket behind! She had been told by us to wear her base layers, two pairs of leggings, her specialized ski top, a jumper and her ski jacket. She had been wearing her base layer set, her specialized ski top, one pair of leggings and the sallopettes and was still too warm! * she STILL hadn't bought anything but might go to the shop for a look after she had a shower * she might phone back later to speak to Roman but then again she might not as she was so tired! Text - 4.00PM (our time) - she had borrowed a plug adapter from next door and was charging her phone! Roman did his homework, learn about planets, so we baked! Yesterday in The Works we picked up this giant poster for 10p (as it was a bit bashed). Mark got some cardboard out of the recycling and we covered the cardboard with the poster. Roman baked some cupcakes (which would be planets) and a giant muffin (which would be the sun). He used icing and tried to colour match the colours as closely to the planets as he could giving a marble effect. EARTH JUPITER MARS MERCURY NEPTUNE SATURN SUN URANUS VENUS Ta Dah! Anais also did her homework. Mark finished his model car. Roman finished his other homework to design a rocket, of course he had to do it out of Lego! Pictures taken and printed and to be sent to school tomorrow. Anais and Roman decorated the leftover cupcakes. Two bobble heart squares (week 7) done today.
