We had a nice New Years Eve at RAF Cosford today. This afternoon I made a chocolate cake for tomorrow. This evening we had fireworks, sparklers and a buffet. Anais finished her scarf. Thanks Roman for the picture and your feet! Happy New Year for 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a lovely day today - firstly a stop off at Asda to buy Shelagh some flowers and Roman spent his Christmas money on some Star Wars Lego. Jenny cooked a lovely lunch and it was lovely to see Shelagh again. Roman started to build his Lego Agents Lego which he completed when he came home. This evening we watched "Behind the Candelabra".
This morning we went to pick up my late Christmas present - a wool winder. We (Roman!) had fun winding the wool when we got back. Spare/odd wool box before............... Winding neat little cakes............ After................ Anais' scarf on the loom so far......................... The hat I started yesterday is finished (pattern here). It was nice to see mom and dad and Nicolette, Dylan and Lexi this afternoon. Thank you for all of our presents xxxx
Couldn't believe the time we woke and got up today - 9.50am!!!!!!!! A not so lazy day spent at home, cleaning, tidying and putting the Christmas things back in the loft. I made another batch of waffles as the last lot all got eaten for breakfast. Before Christmas I bought an aubergine and while we were out yesterday I picked up some minced lamb so today I made two mousakkas for the freezer for me and Mark. Crochet project is finished! Anais and Roman have been playing games on their new computers and this afternoon they watched "Bolt".
This evening we watched the final two episodes of "Jeckyll and Hyde". New crochet project so far................ We had a nice lie in and lazy Sunday morning at home today. We popped out before lunch for some fresh air and to feed the ducks. This afternoon we watched Turner & Hooch. We started putting the Christmas things away. Roman has been playing with K'Nex. Anais has been using the knitting loom. My crochet project so far, crocheting the squares together.
We had a nice lie in and got up just after 9am. We watched "Big Hero 6" twice followed by "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Tangled". Mark & Roman built a K'Nex robot. Anais' picture of Baymax. Anais spent a long time making polymer clay pendants for jewellery making. Roman's Lego police truck. Mark's tank. The crochet virus shawl is finished. New crochet project started. Roman updated the board - 364 days until Christmas! Jenny went home approx 9pm. This evening we watched "Skyfall".
We got up approx 7.30am and opened presents until approx 11.30am with a break for breakfast in between. Photo's of our day so far.............. Lovely presents off Roman............ Presents made for Jenny, a Virus shawl, a crochet beaded necklace and a crochet purse. Anais is colouring and Roman is playing with Lego (wearing his Baymax hat!) Naughty reindeer's! Father Christmas ate all of his goodies! Christmas table............. Christmas dinner........... chicken joint pigs in blankets yorkshire puddings roast potatoes roast parsnips roast butternut squash cauliflower cheese chestnut and sausagemeat stuffing sweede carrots sprouts red cabbage cauliflower beef and onion gravy Anais and Roman have been playing on their new laptops. I have been crocheting. Jenny has been knitting. Mark has been doing his tank................. Some of my lovely presents........ Mark made me wool ball ear rings................... Jurassic World Avengers Age of Ultron Minions Christmas Eve 2013 Christmas Eve 2014 ********************************************************** Waffles and cream for breakfast................ Roman has been tracking Santa...... We made reindeer food..................... Wall of cards.............. The book is ready! The struggle is real! The gingebread house is collapsing. We need Roman's Lego to act as scaffolding! Currently being held up with cups and hot chocolate! Roman is decorating his 6 gingerbread men. Anais is decorating her 6 gingerbread men. A wall has collapsed. Oh well, its a stable now! Little gingerbread present for Jordan, Dylan and Lexi...... Gingerbread men on the tree............................ Its raining so we can't go out as planned. 11.30am - hot chocolate and Christmas film instead The Polar Express! 1.15pm - gingerbread house decorated in marzipan shapes dipped in chocolate and sweets 1.20pm - gingerbread house collapsed and being held up with chilli jam 1.30pm - still raining, now watching "The Snowman". Marzipan chocolate sweets for Jordan, Dylan and Lexi. 2.05pm - Playing The Snowman game & watching The Snowman and The Snowdog. 2.40pm - watching "A Christmas Carol". Roman is scared and having cuddles with Anais. N.B. been with Mark for 17 years today! Its stopped raining! Watch this space! 3.00pm - it stopped raining so we were for a stroll around the lickey Hills and sprinkled the reindeer food. We stopped off at McDonalds and was home for 5pm to eat tea and watch some of "Finding Nemo". Cups and chilli jam removed and the gingerbread house is still standing! 6.00 - 7.00pm, carol singing at Bournville Green. Very busy, very muddy and very cold. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing with Fred roaring, glass of wine, some presents under the tree & Arthur Christmas on TV. Beer, scratchings, carrot and mince pie left out for Father Christmas. Mark read us "The Night before Christmas". MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We had a nice morning at Nicolette's house with Sharmae and all the kids. Firstly we walked to the shops. This afternoon we set the table for Christmas dinner. We baked a gingerbread house and people for tomorrow. We made two bars of chocolate.
Mark had a day off today. We went for a walk around Stratford and by the river.
Followed by a visit to Charlecote Park which was very festive.
Roman has been waiting for MONTHS and carrying his light sabre around with him all day....................
.........tonight we went to see the new "Star Wars" film. It was OK (am not a sci fi fan) but Mark, Anais and Roman LOVED it. Roman retold the plot to me in the car on the way home so it made more sense re who was Darth Vader and his son and the "goodies" and "baddies"!
