Anais and Roman have enjoyed riding their bikes, picking plums and walnuts, helping do the gardening, Anais has learned how to crochet granny squares, Roman enjoys making creations with his K'Nex. We have spent a lot of time outdoors and are very brown. Can honestly say in the five weeks we spent in the caravan we haven't been bored once, we took lots of things to do to keep us occupied.
Everything is so much simpler in the caravan, hardly any washing up - 4 cups, 4 plates, 4 dishes etc...... Some days we only had to wash up once a day at the end of tea. No housework, no hoovering, hardly any ironing. The TV only went on for half an hour before bed so the kids could settle down, otherwise it was turned OFF! Even using the twin tub washing machine seemed more of a novelty than a chore.

He enjoys making lots of creations with this and is very imaginative. His favourite thing is making rockets!

I had a go at cooking the beetroots, never used them this fresh before, usually buy them pre prepared!
I followed Elaine's instructions, twist the top off, wash them and boil them for an hour. After an hour wash them under the cold tap and the skin will come off easily, no colour bleeding either. They smelt lovely and are ready to be roasted tomorrow with a butternut squash. I have the confidence now to buy them fresh and cook from raw again.

This was a Betty Crocker mix and icing as I was going to make this in the caravan but we came home a day early. On the plus side I got to use my new butterfly icing cutters and made 40 butterflies - one for each of his 40 years!
The butterflies were placed on the bars between a cooling rack to give them a 3D shape.
