This morning was sewing group - I made Anais a little purse.
Luckily the work is being done outside next doors house and not ours. They dug up outside her front door today.
This evening we went to the cinema to see The Minion Movie - so, so funny.
Not a very exciting day today. Beds changed and housework done.
Homework and paperwork for college and completed and put away for the last session on Thursday - how quickly has that gone!
No orchestra for Anais after school today, Roman went to cricket club.
A quick tea of jacket potato and cheese.
Anais made milkshakes.
This morning we picked Anais and Roman up quite early.
They each did their homework. Mark weeded the drive. I made a cherry bakewell tart and cheese and leek quiche.
Oh no! The television has broke! It has a black running through the middle of it - very annoying. We only cancelled the protection on it last year so will need to buy a new one or bring the TV in out of the conservatory. Mark said he would take the back off to have a look and Roman being Roman of course had to go and "help"!
We had a nice day at Evesham today - a walk around the shops, picnic lunch in the park and while Roman played on the park Anais sat under a tree reading her book and playing with scoobies.
Tonight Anais and Roman are having a sleepover at grandma and grandads house with Dylan and Lexi.
Our yummy tea tonight - goats cheese ciabatta with balsamic vinegar, a hash brown and salad - delicious!
So tired tonight and I have a sore throat.
Anais was off school today for teacher training. She went to see "Jurassic World" at the cinema with her friend Beth. They spent the rest of the afternoon here playing on the X-Box, baking, playing games, watching TV and crocheting.
I have been taxi driver, cook, tidied the house for the weekend, done the school run, been food shopping and made three more crochet African squares. Roman told me there are now 105 in the box. Hoping to keep my eyes open long enough to watch Graham Norton later, go away sore throat! xx
Bag of wool from the charity shop today for £1!
This afternoon I finally finished sewing the ends in to Lexi's birthday blanket, it has only taken since Easter!
Tonight was my micro teach assessment at college.
Anais and Roman made me a "Good Luck" card.
I picked "Crochet" as my topic. Did I go over the top? Probably, but it created a nice atmosphere! A crochet table cloth, a plant, lots and lots of things to look at and touch, wool and crochet hooks to play with............................
I got good reviews too so all is good, feeling happy tonight! (and yes, the blankets had a chair of their own!)
This morning I made another little felt bag.
Today was sports day at Anais' school, she had to sit it out as she has a poorly foot.
Roman went to football club after school.
This evening was swimming lessons, Anais had to leave after half an hour as her foot was hurting. Her teacher said she was 12 lengths off swimming a mile.
Anais finished school early as it was sports day. She wanted to do dinner when she got home and it took her quite a while to make...........
tortillas and dips
Mark brought some pretty flowers home.
Today was a good day.
Sewing group this morning, we made little quilted felt bags which is also lined inside.
This afternoon I did college work ready for Thursday.
Roman went to cooking club after school and made quiche.
This evening we went to the CBSO centre in town where Anais was playing with the school orchestra - they played very well.
Good news today Anais passed her violin gold medal - well done Anais! She has a certificate although she picked up the wrong medal - a copper badge - instead of the gold badge.
Roman was off school today for teacher training. We went to McDonalds for lunch and this afternoon we have been playing with clay. What will this be?
Anais came home from school complaining her foot hurt again after she hurt it at the park last Tuesday (read about it here and here). As she came home walking with a limp (wasn't before this) and moaning every time we tried to look at it we decided to take her to A&E where the doctor said she had sprained it but it wasn't recovering as she does a lot of sport and she must rest it for at least a week - she was not happy at this as it is sports day on Wednesday and she loves sport. The only sport the doctor said she can do is swimming which she was happy about.
Happy Fathers Day dad and Mark, love you both loads!
We had a nice day, we went to Coventry Transport Museum.
Tea was gammon, cauliflower cheese, jacket potatoes and baby sweetcorn.
After tea we watched "Mockingjay Part 1" - it has almost become a tradition that Mark has a Hunger Games DVD each Father's Day. We are excited to see "Mockingjay Part 2" in November.
Anais and Roman finished the cake by covering it in sprinkles! It was very nice!
