Today -

A koala bear made for Anais. I put a keyring on it so she can hang it from one of her instrument cases.

A vanilla cake made - homemade strawberry jam in the middle with strawberry buttercream and dolly mixtures on the top.

Well done Roman! Two certificates today -
* one for taking part in the string orchestra a few weeks ago
* a head teachers award (gold sticker) and certificate for taking part in the science fair yesterday.

Mark was up very early to catch the 6.30AM plane to Belfast, Ireland. His plane was delayed by an hour and finally took off at 7.45AM.

He caught the 3.15PM plane home and walked through the door at 5.10PM.

Pictures he sent.

Roman went to the science Fair at Birmingham Uni today to present his lemon battery. He didn't win but he had fun and was given a rucksack for his hard work!

Lemon battery assembled at home approx 4.30pm and left. The light is still working on it now (10.30PM).

Anais came home and started a paint by numbers.

This made me laugh!

Crochet monkey made from this book I had for Mothers Day.............

Bit disappointed as mine looks nothing like the picture, he was small and fiddly. He has had a red mouth and a black mouth and in the end as nothing looked good he's got no mouth.

Roman enjoyed the last "Star Gazing Live".

He made an observatory out of Lego. He called the monkey "King Kong".

This afternoon was crafts, we did memory wire rings and bracelets.

Roman went to cricket club after school.

This evening was swimming lessons.

This came in the post today.

Bye, bye 17 year old washing machine!

Hello shiny new machine! It is so much quieter than the old one.

Caravan service today - all is good apart from we need a new tyre, this one has perished between the red line.

The crochet daisy chain I started on Friday. I forgot to photo it yesterday when it was finished.

The flowers in the bush outside are blooming.

New project started..........

Well done to Roman! His lemon battery science project was one of a few chosen to attend the Science Fair on Thursday! xx

Mark finished the back garden and strimmed the edges with the new strimmer.

Happy Mothers Day to mom and Jenny! xx

We had a nice day today and I got lots of lovely goodies!

Gift bag in use again, made by Anais many, many years ago!

From Roman - a Lego treasure chest with a Lego diamond in it and a note "Best mom ever!"

The hour went forward today - we were up just after 9am and had chocolate waffles for breakfast. Anais played her clarinet, Roman played on his computer and Mark cut the lawn. We had a chicken Sunday lunch, dropped Anais off at rehearsal and went to buy a new grass strimmer.

When we picked Anais up she decided she wanted to wear a skirt for the concert so we had a quick shopping trip to go and buy one for her,

This afternoon we had a little afternoon tea party. I forgot to take photo's though -
* chcocolate cake
* mini bluberry muffins
* spiced fruit muffins
* giant jaffa cake
*rhubarb pie and custard

This evening we went to see Anais in the wind concert which was beautiful. They played -
* The Wild Westerns
* Legend of Devils Lake
* Music from Les Miserables
* The King of Pop

New washing machine ordered and being delivered on Tuesday.

Anais went to wind orchestra this morning.

Mark cleaned the conservatory windows, I did all of the ironing.

This afternoon was nice and sunny so we went to Evesham. We had a walk around the few shops and by the river. Anais and Roman played on the park.

Book, £1 from a charity shop.

Crochet daisy chain - this evening I sewed the daisies to the chain.

Today -

Roman is back from his trip. He enjoyed himself.

I made his favourite dinner - macaroni cheese with a giant jaffa cake for pudding. I used raspberry jelly for a change. Everyone said they preferred it made with the orange jelly.

New project, crochet daisy chain. Pattern from "Hook, Yarn and Crochet" by Ros Badger.

Today -

Roman has gone on his school residential trip. Back tomorrow.

I finished my book.

Anais was home late as she helped to make cakes for Red Nose day tomorrow.

The washing machine is kaput. The drum has gone on it and it makes a racket when it spins. Mark phoned the repair shop down the road for advice and they said it wasn't worth repairing it, just scrap it. So this weekend we shall be washing machine shopping.

Yesterday, four years ago, a tree fell down in the back garden.

Today, four years ago, we had seven inches of snow.
