Heavy rain this morning so no run before breakfast.

Mark got the paint things out and sanded and repainted the conservatory wall which has developed a few cracks. The before -

Still have to put the candle holder on the wall hence the two holes in the wall. Much fresher.

It went lovely and sunny before lunch so we got a 5K in. Very, very windy which made it a lot harder. Got caught in a hail shower on the way back which was very painful and sharp!

Feeling pretty proud of myself considering 6 months ago I was unable to run for even a minute at a time!

Also today, a giant rice krispie cake made.

Roman went on a reward day with school to an outward bounds centre.

I did a 5K run before lunch. Very windy and sore legs tonight, having a rest day tomorrow.

Mark did a 5K run when he got home from work and before tea. He is faster than me.

I got this far with Sophies Universe.

Out shopping this morning.

I'm not liking this temperamental weather. I wanted to go for a run before lunch but it started to hail so stayed in and had lunch instead, then it brightened up. Had to wait until I had digested lunch a few hours later and managed to get out and do 5K before tea. Really, really enjoyed it! No wind, freezing cold but I soon warmed up. Down the reservoir, round the corner, up to Asda and up Barnes Hill again, not a bad time either. Maybe it was of benefit having a rest day yesterday.

Four muffins made after tea. One plain (for Anais) and three mincemeat.

Started last night and part 3 finished by the end of tonight - Sophies Universe.

No run today, with rain expected, I drove and was pleased I did too as it hailed.

Roman was off school today for teacher training.

No run before breakfast - heavy rain. Didn't expect to go for a run today as it said it was going to rain for most of the day. We saw blue sky before lunch so went for it! Thought we would just do a quick 3.5K but ended up doing another 5K. It was windier today than in Weymouth last week so the run today was slower than yesterdays (we did the same route too). We didn't go through the park again (going through the park is 3.5K) but went around it and then all the way up to the top of Barnes Hill which got the legs burning!

Pancakes made ready for tomorrow. I'm going out in the morning and Mark is back late so it will be one less thing to do tomorrow.

Everyone enjoyed the rice krispie cakes yesterday so I made some more today.

Anais finished the Star Wars model she started on holiday last week.

Rain this morning so no run before breakfast. We went shopping to Aldi and hoped it would stop raining before lunch.

Blue sky! We quickly transferred the vegetables from the saucepans to the electric steamer and left the house at 12.30 leaving Anais with instructions to put the stuffing, parsnips and Yorkshire puddings in the oven at certain times.

We thought we would only get chance to do a short 3.5K run before it started to rain again but we got to 5K and although we wanted to stay out and go further (we did 6K for five days on holiday last week) we had to come home to sort lunch out.

BUT - we went around the park today instead of through it and ran ALL THE WAY from the bottom to the top of Barnes Hill - progress! Will tackle the dual carriageway hill again soon from Northfield.

We were eating our chicken roast dinner for 1.20PM. It was ready almost immediately from walking in the door.

A syrup sponge made for pudding after lunch. We needed something quick as we weren't at home on Friday so no cake. Not very often there is no cake in our house!

Followed by rice krispie bite cakes for after tea tonight.

The rest of the day has been spent doing not a great deal. Mark has been trying to get two old laptops working so we can leave one in the caravan.

This half term week has gone very fast! Six weeks and schools break up again!

Home time. A lovely week and we were out just as much as when we go in October (we were worried we wouldn't be able to get out as much because of the weather).

Not much has changed so no photos of the apartment. Apartment 2 has the additional of these two recliner chairs and foot stools which were very comfy and were claimed by Anais and Roman. Everywhere looked like the walls had been freshly painted, it was spotless.

Our entry in the guest book before we left. Our sixth stay at Stavordale house. It may only be a one bedroom but we really enjoy staying there, it is cozy and very homely.

Mark and Roman finished this Red Arrow model. Anais started another Star Wars model but is still in the process of painting the pieces.

It is nice to go on holiday but its always nice to come home. We did two loads of washing while we were there and had three loads of washing to do when we got home, the clothes we were wearing and pyjamas. All have been done by the end of tonight so we are back to normal from tomorrow.

We watched a film, had pizza and chips for tea and Mark lit Fred,it was warm in the apartment last week but our living room tonight was toasty!

6K ran before breakfast. Total this week - 30K, approx 18.8 miles! Not bad for 1 - being on holiday and 2 - its been VERY windy all week!

We went to the tip to take this crate of recycling. The tip is only a five minute drive away and saved it all from going into landfill.

While we were out we went to Jordan Hill Roman Temple.

After the little drive out we parked the car at the apartment and took a walk into Weymouth to go in the shops for the final time.

We went again after lunch but to do the harbour and Nothe Fort.

6K ran before breakfast. Dry but very windy and overcast. Started to rain on our way back which got heavier and didn't stop until well into this afternoon.

First stop was Dorchester. No photos as it was raining.....................lots.

We went to Hardys Cottage. The roof has been newly thatched.

Next stop was Max Gate.

Stopped to see the view at the top of Bowleaze Cove.

Back to the apartment this afternoon, we watched "Peter Rabbit".

When it stopped raining we decided to go to the oub for tea. mark had chicken jalfrezi, I had chickpea, sweet potato and spinach curry, Anais had cheese panini and chips, Roman had a lasagne.

We followed tea with a walk around the harbour and back down the promenade.
