One sleigh square FINISHED!
One sleigh square FINISHED!
One cake made
Roman was "Star of the Week" and got a certificate and a prize!
The four Christmas squares I did way back in January...........
I stated another today, a sleigh. This was how far I got by the end of tonight. (Why did I start, so fiddly, so many ends, arrrgh!)
Roman brought this picture home for school.
Anais went to the theatre with school tonight to see "The Little Shop of Horrors"
More leaves made (pattern here) and turned into a little autumn garland to hang off the fireplace.
Jewellery making this afternoon, I made Anais a little necklace.
Roman went to cooking club after school and made chocolate covered fruit kebabs.
Three years ago today we had Fred fitted.
Two years ago today we did a bat walk in the Lickey Hills.
One year ago today we went to Harry Potter.
Roman wanted to light Fred but its still not cold enough. Roman made him a "cake" out of toilet roll tubes, newspaper and kindling ready to burn soon!
Mini trifles made for pudding.
Another hippo finished!
We had a nice day out at Arley today to see "The Flying Scotsman". Firstly, photos of other trains..................
The Flying Scotsman!
Mark was up just after 8am. He loaded the car with the cardboard from the new bedroom furniture and the old wardrobe. He took Anais to orchestra and then took all of the rubbish to the tip.
I have been tidying the bedroom and trying to find homes for things. We have a pile of things for the charity shop, some things have gone in the rubbish and some in the loft.
Good news for today is the washing machine is fixed! The spare part was delivered and Mark fitted it this afternoon. He also mowed the lawn in the back garden.
Bed now, soooo tired xx
A very busy day today, firstly shopping this morning..... Christmas calendars bought already! Secondly housework done so we have a clean house for the weekend. Thirdly I finished crocheting more African flowers and I started to join them for another Happypotamus.
This evening we decided to replace the old wardrobe in our bedroom with a new wardrobe and dressing table. Mark stripped the wall while I sorted tea and made a cake.
We lined the wall with lining paper and painted it. Mark went to pick up the new wardrobe and dressing table. When he got back we dismantled the old wardrobe and built the new wardrobe and dressing table. It came mostly ready assembled so there was hardly any noise to be made. Only problem now though is I have lost my "Crafty Cupboard" and need to find homes for my crafty bits. Now we just need some shelves to go on the wall and it is done (apart from taking the old wardrobe to the tip). It turned into a very late night, its now after midnight and I am going to bed. xx
Five autumn leaves made today, pattern from here.
This afternoon we sorted out Roman's outfit for "Victorian Day" at school. An old pair of school trousers, one of Anais' old white school shirts with the collar cut off and sleeves ripped, an old black top cut up to make a waistcoat and on the day we will cover him in Freds soot!
I finished the white hat I made last Wednesday for Roman. I turned it into a headphone hat. Pattern from Repeat Crafter Me.
Crafts this afternoon, I had a go at making a rubber stamp. I made a music note for Anais. Much harder than it looks!
I used fabric ink to stamp an old white top so Anais can use it as a pyjama top.
Roman went to football club after school
This evening was swimming lessons.
Oh, and today was pretty rubbish (apart from one lot of good news, Anais has a work experience placement). We had heavy rain and the washing machine has broken down. Spare part is on order so hope it comes soon xx
